Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls
2 lbs lean ground beef (I used 96% lean beef)
1 large onion (chopped)
2 cloves minced garlic
1 small cabbage (chopped)
2 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 oz cans)
1/2 cup water
16 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
- In large skillet or pot brown the ground beef with onions.
- Add the garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute.
- Add cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
- Stir and bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer until cabbage is tender (about 30 minutes).
Serves 6-8
